As a result, our people get to enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world.Job DescriptionTurner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Preconstruction Estimator to work in-office with our team in San Francisco, and provide estimating, benchmarking & commercial management services on a global technology client’s massive data center construction program.The successful candidate will also be confident reviewing Mechanical and/or Electrical Subcontract packages and buyout.Responsibilities:Provide expert estimating services for hyperscale data centers from RFP through to construction completion, managing key relationships with the client, general contractor, and project team.Lead the training of templates & tools for the general contractor to ensure submissions are compliant for commercial analysis.Provide detailed comparative analysis of commercial submittals from the general contractor.Lead the commercial review of the competitive bid process for major trades.Support the project delivery team with post-contract cost analysis & change order reviews.Benchmarking integration to ensure accurate data capture.QualificationsDemonstrated estimating experience including time spent in mission critical, pharma, industrial or life science sectors.Data Center construction experience is strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience of developing estimates throughout the project lifecycle.Confident reviewing Mechanical and/or Electrical Subcontract packages and buyout.College degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical field, and/or field-related experience.Excellent communicator and thrives in a client facing role.Technical knowledge of construction industry matters, such as value management and value engineering.Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to adapt messaging to suit the recipients.Additional InformationThe salary range for this full-time role is $105K-$180K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.
