We are actively recruiting a talented Interior Lighting Designer to work with our Design Studio in our Dallas office to support major projects in market sectors including Aviation, Corporate, Workplace, Healthcare, K-12 and Higher Education. Design services will support projects across all offices and teams.
Responsibilities:

Our ideal designer is passionate and progressively seeking more responsibilities to expand their expertise.
The lighting designer will include work on a variety of tasks involved in the complete design process from schematic design through construction administration as well as collaboration with outside consultants. Tasks will include conceptualizing design ideas, submittal/shop drawing reviews, AGI lighting calculations, Revit drafting and rendering, physical model construction, lighting mock-ups, fixture specification, detailing and meeting presentations.
Qualifications:
Qualified designers already exhibit these strengths and talents:
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Architectural or Theatrical Lighting Design/ Engineering, Architecture (NCARB accredited), Interior Design (CIDA accredited) or Electrical Engineering.
Professional registration including LC credentials or expectation of the LC.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, AGI32 (or other lighting simulation software), AutoCAD and REVIT.
Proficiency in energy code and lighting calculations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with IESNA guidelines and lighting design best practices.
Basic understanding of the practice of architecture and architecture design protocols and methods.
Familiar with sustainable design, including the LEED rating systems.
2+ years or more of experience in lighting design.
Project locations will require occasional travel.
