DescriptionElectrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider Piedmont Eastside HospitalPiedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for an Electrophysiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the team at Piedmont Eastside Hospital. This is a full time position working variable shifts including days, holidays, night call coverage, and weekends.This is a great opportunity to be employed by one of the nations leading cardiology programs. You will work alongside some of the most respected and highly-trained physicians. Piedmont Heart Institute provides the full line of cardiovascular services with dedicated transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical and research services.In This Position You WillAssist in the evaluation and treatment of electrophysiology patients in an inpatient setting and in independent outpatient clinicsTake patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record the data in the patients record Write progress notes, consults, admissions, and discharge summariesPrepare patient workupsOrder and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients as direct patient care services are deliveredWork alongside physicians and other cardiology advanced practice providers in a collaborative teamOvernight call and hospital/clinic coverage occasionally includes general cardiology patients Piedmont BenefitsGenerous CME allowanceCompetitive compensation401k with matchYearly bonus structureQuality, Service and ReputationMinimum QualificationsMasters or bachelors degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification--or--Licensed as a nurse practitioner and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification.Experience1-2 years of electrophysiology experience preferredMinimum 2-3 years of general cardiology experience preferred; familiarity with pacemakers and defibrillators a plus.Qualifications1-2 years of electrophysiology experience preferredMinimum 2-3 years of general cardiology experience preferred; familiarity with pacemakers and defibrillators a plus.
