Director, US Sourcing

The Director US Sourcing is a key member of the Global Fuels team reporting to the Head of NA Supply. This role will provide commercial leadership for fuel supply of refined products (mainly term contracts), lead supplier relationships, facilitate the integration of supply with support functions (i.e., Logistics, IT, Facilities, Accounting, etc.) and support the North American Business Units in maximizing profitable sales margins and customer service/reliability. The director role leads a team of 4 individuals, all based in Houston. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Leads RFP process for new or renewal supply agreements across North America which exceeds 10 Bgal per RFP and requires significant interaction with external and internal stakeholders. Responsible for supplier relationship management with 35+ suppliers within the US. Provides functional leadership and works cross-organizationally to execute and integrate new supply contracts (both branded and unbranded supply). Collaborates with the NA BU’s to forecast supply, demand, and understand market dynamics to ensure capture of opportunities and/or mitigation of risk. Assists in providing continuous improvement in supplier selection, term vs spot decisions, and commercial terms in order to reduce the cost of goods of refined products supply. Provides transparency on success, failure, performance, and projections to executive leadership through metrics analysis and reporting. Develops supply acquisition capabilities through strengthening and diversifying industry networks and supplier relationships. Achieves financial objectives by assisting in preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing determined Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company Plan guidelines. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. Other combinations of job related experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted. 7+ years of petroleum supply and marketing experience, including practical knowledge of various index based pricing mechanisms. Strong leadership skills with ability to manage fuel focused team while engaging with broader business. Proven experience managing RFP’s and supplier relationships. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong organizational and networking skills. Very strong analytical and financial awareness for modeling and analysis. Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
