The DoD SkillBridge or Military Spouse Financial Planning & Analysis Lead Intern will utilize Humana's Medicaid training and mentorships and engage formerly acquired skillsets from military experience and education to perform within the finance Medicaid segment.
The Financial Planning & Analysis Lead Intern analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. The Financial Planning & Analysis Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The Financial Planning & Analysis Lead Intern will shadow within the department and among collaborative teams to:
- Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and economic indicators for senior management's strategic and operational decisions.
- Analyze the financial implications of proposed investments or transactions.
- Evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's financial position.
- Analyze revenues, expenses, costs, prices, investments, cash flow, profits, and market trends.
- Advise executives to develop functional strategies on significant matters.
- Exercise independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues.
Required Qualifications
- Transitioning Service Member eligible for DoD SkillBridge, or Military Spouse eligible for the Military Spouse Fellowship Program.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- 5 or more years of finance and/or accounting experience, or equivalent.
- Experience advising senior leadership on financial strategies.
- Knowledge of complex accounting and financial transactions for reporting.
- Prior experience developing methods for measuring and summarizing data for complex analyses.
- Ability to lead and manage special projects requiring cross-functional partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare industry experience.
- 2 or more years of leadership experience preferred.
- Master's degree in Business Administration or CPA strongly preferred.
- Prior health insurance industry experience in Finance/Accounting.
Workstyle: Remote Work at Home
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Pay Range: $31,200 - $85,100 per year
