Summary of Position:
The Specialist, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) will analyze, design, implement and maintain data interchange systems. This position will also manage the transfer of information between systems with both customers and vendors. This position will also require in-depth knowledge of EDI programming, expert troubleshooting skills and experience with end user training. This position requires a strong and positive customer service aptitude as it is customer facing when setting up or diagnosing issues with B2B EDI transactions.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and define EDI requirements
Provide advice and educate internal and external customers on EDI guidelines and capabilities
Setup new customers and vendors for EDI
Work closely with Central IT EDI Build and Support Teams as needed to diagnose problems and CI
Create, develop and produce mapping documents
Collaborate with programmers and internal staff to develop and test new or modified systems
Periodically review systems to ensure EDI needs are met; identify possible modifications as required
Remain current regarding EDI and B2B commerce technologies and options within Knauf Group
Perform other IT related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/computer information systems or related field required
Experience:
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Electronic Data Interchange with enterprise grade ERP
Multi-national experience preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange
Working knowledge of various IT systems in a Corporate environment
Ability to travel as necessary, up to 10%
