Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Wound Center team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care, coordinate patient care, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of patients' medical and surgical conditions, including psychosocial, physical, educational, and cultural aspects. Develop and revise individualized plans of care based on patient assessment and response to treatment. Follow the five medication rights and reduce the potential for medication errors. Document the nursing process and responses to care in a timely manner. Provide education to patients and families based on identified learning needs. Assess, stage, and measure wounds accurately and in accordance with policy. Implement, follow, and evaluate all National Healing Wound Care protocols and processes. Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure in the state of Connecticut. Previous med-surg nursing experience, with wound care experience preferred. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Possesses basic computer skills. About ECHN
