Job Description: PACS Analyst

The PACS Administrator is responsible for directly supporting all technical PACS (Picture Archive and Communications System) support. This support includes the hospital, imaging centers and medical group facilities and includes Radiology, Cardiology, and Oncology. The primary activity of this position is to ensure that site and PACS systems perform as expected, that clinical operations and efficiencies are not impeded by technical hardware failures and all PACS environments are secure and properly maintained.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to prepare and present educational and informative presentations by means of Power Point or other audio/video equipment Excellent software/systems, organization, and communication skills Exercises good judgment, demonstrates effective critical thinking skills Flexible, able to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently Works effectively under stress and frequently changing job requirements/situations Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance at the assigned job location

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (equivalent work experience and similar successful professional experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree) Graduate of an accredited college or university. Bachelor's degree in public or business administration management information systems, or computer science is preferred. Radiology Imaging Technology experience preferred

EXPERIENCE Minimum of 3 years experience preferred.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking May be required to lift to 20 pounds Requires significant use of a personal computer, phone, and general office equipment Needs adequate visual acuity, able to grasp and handle objects Needs ability to communicate through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone May require offsite travel
