Position Overview:
S:US is seeking a Progam Director for their short term homeless prevention program, Home Base.

 

This position is located at 516 West 181 Street New York, NY 10033

 

 

Position Overview:

The Program Director of Homebase provides oversight of the program, staff supervision, and
management of all programs under Homebase.

 

 

Job Functions:

 

Manage and monitor all aspects of program start-up based on DHS contractual requirements and SUS guidelines.

Provide supervision, guidance, and performance evaluations to senior program staff.Enforce corporate compliance protocols, SUS employee policies, procedures, and protocols, and incident management policies, procedures and protocols.

Review and develop quality control systems and procedures.

Review weekly internal file reviews and implement quality assurance measures to ensure compliance with the Department of Homeless Services standards.

Coordinate the development and implementation of new or modified policies and procedures that will improve Homebase system of care based on continuous quality improvement findings.

Ensure ethical practices are maintained in service provision throughout the program.

Connect to multiple service partners and community stakeholders to lead and foster a team approach.

Participate in professional development and training through agency-wide in-service training and outside training.

Participate in and monitor the recruitment, hiring, and selection of direct care and supervisory personnel

Facilitate periodic staff meetings and case conferences as appropriate.

Attend scheduled meetings at the Department of Homeless Services as required.

Provide crisis management services to clients as needed.

Develop and maintain external provider relationships.

Monitor and report program performance data

 

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in human services field, LCSW preferred.

Four years of direct experience in providing client services in the homeless population required.

Four years of program management experience.

Experience with managing data and preparing reports.

Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Knowledge of the complex interaction of multiple factors of homelessness, substance abuse, mental health and domestic violence preferred with sensitivity to cultural and gender specific issues with both individuals and families.

Knowledge of HRA and homeless shelter system.

Knowledge of systems approach to prevention and ability to integrate system and services and leverage existing community assets and resources.
