Find out what Atlas Copco is doing locally.General Manager, Product Company YachiyoThe Yachiyo Product Company is the centre of competence for our turbopump business and sits under the Semiconductor Chamber Solutions Division in the Vacuum Technique Business Area.It is the Technology & NPI Centre of Competence for the global business as we expand and invest in new R&D facilities and capabilities, retaining all R&D responsibility for Edwards’ turbopump development globally.The product company will be going through some exciting and significant transformations in the next few years.Transitioning to the Edwards SAP operating systemGlobal responsibility for manufacturing technology advancementsDevelopment of next generation pumpsWe are looking for a strong leader to be the new General Manager of the Product Company to guide the teams through these changes and build on the work already started through our cultural change program to foster a high performance supportive team culture that exhibits passion, purpose, innovation, collaboration, inclusion and wellbeing where talented people grow and thrive.Mission/Purpose of the JobYour mission is to develop in a sustainable way the Product Company in all its dimensions to match the target of operational efficiency, cost leadership and innovation for the development of new products for the Vacuum Technique business area.As general manager, you are responsible for the profit & loss and the balance sheet of the company. Fundamentals in your mission are to run the operations with focus on excellence in supply chain and operations management; safety, quality, asset management and organisational development and to deliver superior value and excellent customer service.Main ResponsibilitiesSafetyFully embrace the Vacuum Technique SHE Policy, vision and culture and continue to improve the performance of the product company, striving for zero work or product related accidents.Demonstrate visible leadershipImprove physical conditions using risk rating toolImprove behaviors via LeadSafeQualityFully embrace the Vacuum Technique Quality Policy and Quality Charter and through continual improvement strive to deliver defect free products and services to our customers.Improve product and process quality (internal/supplier) by more effective quality management systems. Organize regular PQM as per divisional standards and secure action plan attainment.Create a high quality mentality. Guarantee safe and reliable products in line with global industry standards.DeliveryMeet market competitive lead-time with reliable on-time delivery performance at minimum cost to the business through the implementation of lean practices in a flexible and efficient operation that matches our customer needs.CostFull ownership of profit & loss and the balance sheet of the Product Company.Continually improve profitability through on-going efficiency improvements and product cost reduction programs.Product DevelopmentCreate and manage through its lifecycle an innovative and reliable product portfolio that is in line with customer needs and Divisional requirements and strategies.Reduce time to market for new products by a robust product development process and excellent project management system.Supply ChainManage a strong, flexible and reliable supply chain that supports company targets in terms of product quality, product availability, product cost and the use of working capital.PeopleEngage, inspire and empower the teams to continue the great work in progress as part of the SHIN program and ensure it becomes embedded culturally across the product company.Attract, develop and retain the best people and encourage diversity in line with our corporate values.Build internal and external talent pipeline and succession plans, including establishing Early Careers and internal talent development programs.Ensure all operators and staff have the right competences and skills, and have the confidence and authority to run their processes and systems in a sustainable way.Develop a strong shop floor leadership culture (lead by example) based on respect and tight operational controls.Full implementation of the Vacuum Technique Production System (VTPS-B) across the entire site.OtherManage local issues while interfacing effectively across a multi-dimension matrix organisation.Ensure that statutory legislation, government regulations and Vacuum Technique’s policies are applied.Close collaboration on engineering & operational topics with new turbo Product Companies.Organisation ChartReports directly to President Semiconductor Chamber Solutions Division.Works with:Divisional Operations team, Divisional Procurement Team, Divisional Engineering team, Divisional Product Management & Marketing team.QualificationsBusiness Knowledge, Educational Background and Work ExperienceUniversity degree in an engineering or relevant discipline or equivalent working experience.KnowledgeOperations, Planning and Supply Chain, Manufacturing Systems, Project Management, NPI and Engineering, Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing, P&L and Balance Sheet management.Language Skills:Proficient in business English.Other Soft Skills and KnowledgeResults orientated, Dynamic with strong leadership skills, Proactive, Good interpersonal skills, Passion for excellence and continuous improvement.Scope of the jobResponsible for a Product Company with current size of ~ 240 heads delivering product with a sales value of ~ $200M, but with significant expected annual growth.The GM must be able to interact and influence at President level as well as with all other levels internally and externally.About EdwardsEdwards is a leading developer and manufacturer of sophisticated vacuum products.
