Job Details

The Controller will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of our manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for leading the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth objectives. The ideal candidate will have 12-15 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record of managing an accounting team within a manufacturing environment. Experience in public accounting is advantageous but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required
• 12-15 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading and managing an accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in public accounting is a plus but not required.
