Overview:
The Fort Lauderdale, FL office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking a Corporate Paralegal.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will join the Business Practices Group and handle high level transactional work. Job includes managing transactions, preparing drafts of corporate documents and resolutions, entity formation, dissolution and foreign qualification, obtaining tax id numbers, document management, handling pre and post-closing work, signature pages and closing binders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate. A certificate may be required based on region, state, or client requirements.
At least five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in a transactional practice, working with corporate documents, M&A and due diligence.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
Strong Excel skills
Strong organizational, written & verbal communication skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
Ability to work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours
This position has an annual billable requirement of 1,600 hours
