Overview:
IST Management is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the Chicago team in a Corporate office setting. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing Barista/Coffee Bar services provided on-site to clients and customers, and providing backup mailroom management and support as needed. Ideal candidates will have prior mail room supervisor and Barista experience, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, display high customer service standards, and are team oriented.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

 

Hourly Compensation: $21.00-21.00 USD

Responsibilities:
The Assistant Hospitality Site Manager will be in charge of leading and overseeing Barista/Coffee Bar services provided on-site, and providing backup management and support to the mailroom center as needed. 

 

Management

Manage barista/mail room employees

Provide/manage mail room center as needed 

Maintain effective communication with staff members and clients

Supply management: inventory, ordering and restocking of supplies for barista station 

Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude

Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines

 

Barista Services

Lead services provided on-site 

Welcome and greet clients/customers, take orders, and answer questions about the menu

Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment to prepare beverages

Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of equipment, workstations, surrounding areas and Barista area; Clean refrigerators on a daily basis; Fill and empty dishwashers on a daily/as needed basis

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks

Maintain area surrounding coffee bar to ensure cleanliness and organization

 

Mailroom Services 

Provide mailroom center support and management backup as needed when site manager is out of the office.

Utilize mailing equipment and scanners

Scan, sort, and deliver mail and packages to appropriate client personnel 

Assist in mailroom services as needed

Be able to stand and walk throughout the day

Lift 50+ pound boxes

Will be asked to move furniture, boxes, supplies, etc on a regular basis

 

Qualifications:
The Assistant Hospitality/Mail Room Site Manager must have prior supervisor/management and barista experience, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, display high customer service standards, and are team oriented; additional qualifications include: 

 

High school diploma or equivalent is required

Hospitality experience is highly preferred

Professional appearance and demeanor; Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills

Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment

Competency in performing multiple functional tasks

Ability to meet employer's attendance policy; Reliable transportation to and from work; Ability to lift 50lbs

Willingness to cross-train for other job functions
