Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today.Come and discover our 2 new Medical/Surgical Units on the Lawrenceville Campus!These are Inpatients units, each with 24 beds of Medical/Surgical patients.We have telemetry, that allows us to treat all medical patients to include pulmonary, respiratory and cardiac patient populations. We also see patients with minor surgeries.We are a free standing building outside of the hospital and have our own RRT nurse, respiratory therapist, lab, and resident physicians.Enjoy a varied patient population and a great team with many opportunities as we grow!The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.RequiredMust be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.Twelve to 24 months of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).Other REQUIRED cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) are unit specific. Please refer to the specific clinical unit for additional education, competencies and/or certification required as a condition of employment.Must meet all Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) personnel qualifications and responsibilities requirements for individuals prior to directing and/or performing non-waived point of care testing as stated in 42 CFR, Part 493, Subpart M. Other Select Unit/Role specific REQUIREMENTS: UNITRequirements For EmploymentBone Marrow Transplant Obtains ACLS certification within one year of employmentCritical Care Obtains ACLS certification within one year of employment Emergency Department Maintains certification in ACLS Gastro-Intestinal Lab Maintains certification in ACLS -for registered nurses performing moderate sedation.Neurosciences Maintains ACLS certification for Neurovascular Intermediate patient care required Completion of Critical Care and Basic Arrhythmia course preferredSpecial Care Nurseries Certified as Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)Surgical ServicesOperating Room Prior Operating Room experience or completion of a course in Operating Room nursing preferred.PACU Prior PACU or ICU experience or completion of a course in Post-Anesthesia Care nursing preferredAll AREAS ACLS preferredPreferred BSN degree preferred

National Certification in Clinical Specialty preferred
