Nature of Work

The Coconino County Health & Wellness Clinic is looking for a part-time nursing professional to assist the clinical team during this respiratory illness season. This individual will work 1-2 days/week in a walk-in clinic setting during the months of October and November delivering Covid-19 and Influenza vaccines to the public. This individual will also accompany the wellness team to off-site mobile events around the County delivering vaccines. If you are interested in using your nursing knowledge to contribute to the wellness of the community, this could be the temporary position for you.

Under general supervision performs professional nursing care of considerable difficulty for clients with complex health care needs; performs related work as assigned.

This is a temporary position funded by the Covid-19 Immunization EQUITY grant, with an end date of December 31, 2024. Typical Duties

(Illustrative Only) Implements the nurse process which includes physical assessment, nurse diagnosis, interventions, and evaluations to clients Provides education and counseling as needed by the individual Administers immunizations and prescribed treatments according to standing orders or individual physician's orders Participates in prevention and control of communicable diseases Performs clinical nursing duties in immunization Participates in orientation and clinical supervision of nurse aides and student nurses May be responsible for documenting and charting patient interactions Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: sitting for computer work; working with and around other staff and outside agencies; dealing with interruptions; reaching; repetitive motion (hand/wrist) for computer work, writing, and using a calculator; vision acuity (near/ far) must be able to see documents needing attention and driving; color vision for reading labels; hearing and speech for ordinary conversation with staff and customers; finger dexterity for typing/ 10-key.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Community Health Nurse I - Valid, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing or issued by another state recognized by the Arizona Board of Nursing as a multi-compact site.

Community Health Nurse II -

Valid, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing or issued by another state recognized by the Arizona Board of Nursing as a multi-compact site AND 2 or more years of experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess a current Arizona RN license, a current CPR certification. Must obtain an Arizona driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout employment. The

ideal candidate

for this position is a nursing professional excited to assist the CCHHS clinical team in delivering vaccinations to the community during this respiratory illness season.

This position is safety sensitive.

This position is exempt from overtime.

Note: Individuals in exempt classifications as part time employees may be classified as non-exempt per FLSA law regarding minimum weekly salary requirements.
