WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:CloserStill Media is seeking an energetic, creative, and data-driven Sr. Event Director to lead the show’s performance across all disciplines, ensuring successful execution of high-profile events, budget management, and resource allocation.The Event Director willoversee sales, operations, marketing, and content strategy to maximize profitability and align with company goals and support senior management in the smooth operation of the business. THE ROLE: Lead cross-functional teams to achieve commercial and financial goals. Develop and execute innovative events that deliver customer ROI and high NPS scores. Build strong client relationships within the Learning & Development industry to drive growth. Oversee team priorities, resource allocation, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Evolve the event portfolio by integrating cutting-edge technologies and staying ahead of industry trends. Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the direction and strategy of CloserStill Media’s U.S. operations. Develop a coherent brand strategy for all events to maintain relevance and meet market expectations. Ensure content programs meet audience needs and deliver fresh, relevant information. Align marketing strategy with the event’s commercial objectives. Create strategic event floor plans in conjunction with Sales & Operations Managers to optimize visitor experience and exhibitor traffic. Identify and implement additional revenue streams and brand extension opportunities. Monitor and respond to competitor activity. Stay informed about market trends and adapt events accordingly. Set and meet annual P&L targets, ensuring budgeted gross and net profit contributions for all shows. Oversee timely fund collection and provide monthly revenue and performance forecasts. Collaborate with the Operations Director to develop and deliver an efficient operational strategy within budget. Develop and implement a sales strategy to meet and exceed targets, including exhibitor mix, stand sales, sponsorship inventory, and revenue streams. ABOUT YOU: 5-10 years of experience in B2B events with a successful senior leadership background. Expertise in P&L management, financial planning, and achieving targets. Strong customer-focused leadership and data-driven decision-making skills. Exceptional analytical skills for translating complex data into actionable strategies. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels. Strategic vision combined with tactical execution capabilities. Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams in fast-paced environments. Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for innovation and transformative change.
