They protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, preventing, investigating and resolving theft and fraud to ensure product is available for our guest.As a Target Security Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:Use intelligence-led tactics to keep team members and guests safe and secureGain experience in crisis response, safety, and crowd management; providing support to both guests and team membersDevelop skills in de-escalation and experience recovering stolen merchandise to prevent shortageUtilize Target's video surveillance systemDocument cases using industry case management systemsTypical responsibilities include:Support sales by welcoming and engaging guests and team members at the front of the storeLead a physical security culture by assessing and maintaining safe standards throughout the storeRespond to and accurately document security incidentsLeverage escalation tools for guest issues to provide a safe environmentConduct merchandise recoveries and provide apprehension support as needed, adhering to AP policiesPrevent theft at the front of the store by performing receipt checksSubmit documentation for all incidents following AP policyUnderstand and appropriately use the video systemModel safety and cleanliness for guests and team membersProvide service that meets guest needsDemonstrate a culture of ethical conduct and complianceWork safely and identify hazardsPerform other duties as neededWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORWe might be a great match if:You thrive in a fun and energetic environmentYou are excited about providing excellent service to our guestsYou enjoy stocking, setting, and selling Target productsYou are looking for a dynamic job rather than a traditional office roleSkills you should have:Must be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or equivalentMeet state or local licensure requirementsWelcoming and helpful attitudeAbility to communicate on multiple devices and operate technologyEffective communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCapable of managing workload and prioritizing tasksAbility to remain focused in a fast-paced environmentAdditional expectations:Climb up and down laddersApprehend subjects per company policyHandle and move merchandise efficiently, including lifting up to 40 poundsFlexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to work in varying temperatures and conditionsRemain mobile during shiftsFind competitive benefits from financial and education to well-being at Target Benefits.Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)Target will provide reasonable accommodations during the application process upon request.
