Software Engineer - 3D World Generation Pipelines

The Zoox simulation team is looking for experienced software engineers to take our 3D world-generation technology to the next level. You will work closely with technical artists to improve our procedural content pipeline and with simulation and ML engineers to deploy new methods to improve the fidelity and performance of our 3D worlds.Join us to innovate on 3D simulation tech to help realize safe autonomous driving for everyone.In this role, you will:Scale up our procedural world generation pipeline for a quickly growing number of citiesIntegrate generative and reconstruction-based AI into production pipelinesCollaborate across Zoox to enable new kinds of testing and training in 3D simulationOwn artist and content pipelines to improve art production quality and throughputQualifications6+ years of professional experience in relevant domainsHigh proficiency in C++ and PythonExperience building art pipelines and extending DCC tools such as Maya, Blender, Houdini, or UnityFamiliarity with distributed systems and cloud computing platformsStrong teamwork and communication skillsBonus QualificationsExperience with 3D game engines like Unity or UnrealFamiliarity with AAA game assets and code pipelinesExperience with Houdini and/or MayaExperience with ML engineeringExperience in computer vision or roboticsExperience with lidar, radar, or camera simulationCompensationThere are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary will range from $160,000 to $235,000. A sign-on bonus may be part of a compensation package.
