Department Overview The North America Commercial Markets and Channel Sales team works with Approved Partners to provide extraordinary solutions to ensure that the needs of public safety and commercial customers are continuously met. Job Description The Vice President of Strategic Sales for the North America Channels organization is a dynamic and results-oriented growth leader who will play a pivotal role in driving new revenue. The VP will be at the forefront of developing and executing effective sales strategies, building and managing an exceptional team of sales, engineering and market experts and fostering invaluable relationships with channel partners and end user organizations. Key Functions Shape and implement strategic sales vision: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the MSI ecosystem, aligning it with our overall business objectives and leveraging market trends. Embrace a disruptive mindset: Drive innovation and operational improvements by convincing channel partners and prospective customers to embrace a novel, tech-enabled solution to operate safer, more effectively and unlock operational capacity in an industry that is ripe for disruption. Drive revenue growth: Showcase your expertise by effectively positioning and selling our cutting-edge solutions to prospective customers, channel partners and stakeholders, ensuring sustainable revenue growth. Inspire and lead a high-performing team: Cultivate a motivated and high-performing sales team by providing guidance, coaching, and support, enabling them to surpass sales targets and achieve remarkable performance. Foster strategic relationships: Cultivate and nurture key accounts, strategic partners, channel partners and influential stakeholders within the commercial and enterprise sectors, fostering lasting relationships that drive business growth. Lead market analysis and differentiation: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify new opportunities, monitor competitive trends, and provide strategic recommendations for product positioning and differentiation. Insights and reporting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and regular reports, providing valuable insights on sales performance, pipeline, and market trends to the leadership team. Drive cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, ensuring alignment and leveraging resources for successful sales initiatives. Stay ahead of industry trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and specific vertical market policies, enabling you to anticipate market needs and adapt sales strategies accordingly. Drive efficiency and effectiveness: Continuously evaluate and enhance sales processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the sales organization. Manage budget: Develop and manage the sales budget, effectively allocating resources to optimize return on investment and achieve financial objectives. Required Skills/Abilities: 10+ years sales leadership experience Extensive knowledge of the partner sales model and how partners benefit from their relationship with MSI Strong business acumen Thorough understanding of Motorola Solutions’ ecosystem Experience working as an overlay to a sales team and with channel partners Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills that captivate and engage diverse stakeholders. A strategic mindset and the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that surpass expectations. Strong analytical abilities with a focus on interpreting market data and making data-driven decisions. Proven track record in building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders. Results-driven mindset with a relentless focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce) systems and sales performance tracking tools (Tableau), empowering you to make informed decisions.
