RoleWe are looking for a Director of Client Partnerships, Restaurants. This candidate preferably has a strong background in sales and understands the unique marketing challenges faced by the Restaurants Industry. This candidate also comes with a deep understanding of marketing and sales strategy. We are looking for people who have experience working and partnering directly with marketing leaders at Restaurants companies.You will work with a close-knit Restaurants industry team consisting of 6-12 members who focus on complementary functional areas, including account strategy, mid-funnel strategy, creative strategy, campaign strategy, market strategy and supply strategy. With a focal point on marketing and sales strategy, you will be accountable to the team and all team members are expected to learn facets of other functional areas so they can better see the big picture, be more strategic, and work together as a more effective team.ResponsibilitiesAct as primary client-facing lead for all prospective and current Restaurants companiesGenerate activity and revenue to promote growth within the Restaurants sectorMap out the Restaurants landscape and put together a prioritized outreach strategy, to connect with marketing leaders and decision makers at Restaurants companiesSet up meetings and have strategic discussions with marketing leaders at Restaurants companiesPrepare for meetings by researching each company, their current marketing strategy, and their unique challengesEducate marketing leaders at Restaurants companies on our unique Restaurants solutions and how they can address their unique challengesEstablish long-term relationships with the goal of being a valued strategic partnerProvide campaign strategy consultation and analysisAbility to listen carefully to delineate customer challenges and to curate creative solutions to address client needsQualifications8+ years of marketing strategy experienceA sales background or a demonstrated aptitude for sales skills is preferred, but not requiredProven track record in new business development, specifically within the Restaurants sectorDemonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with marketing leaders within Restaurants companiesAgency experience leading the relationship with senior marketers at brandsBrand marketing experience, directly managing and strategizing campaigns as an internal marketer at leading brandsAbility to have a discussion on marketing strategy with senior marketing leaders at a brandProven relationship building capabilities with key marketing decision makers at brands, OR A track record of developing enduring and actionable client/partner relationshipsStrong understanding of marketing industry trends and technologiesStrong knowledge of leveraging brand marketing to drive impactStrong work ethic, hunger to learn, and drive to constantly improveSelf-motivated, and comfortable working independently and as part of team where members are accountable to each otherProblem solver and doerTeam player who works well with others to make work enjoyableWork EnvironmentWe are a remote-first organization.
