Medical Care Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Trials Nurse to join our team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. As a key member of our ambulatory care practice, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals living with cancer.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, evidence-based nursing care to oncology patients and their families in a healing and innovative environment.
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to facilitate the accrual of patients to clinical trials and coordinate patient care activities.
• Participate in the conduct of studies for patients enrolled in clinical trials, including medicine and radiation oncology.
• Educate patients and their families regarding clinical trials and provide direct nursing care, patient and study assessments, education, and patient/family support.
• Work closely with our principal investigator to review new protocols from a nursing perspective and participate in multidisciplinary discussions for approval.
• Implement standards for research protocols in compliance with regulatory, institutional, and external agencies.
• Provide continuity of care to patients throughout various stages of treatment on protocol and follow-up.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
• Three years of clinical nursing experience
• Five years of medical oncology experience required
• Clinical research nursing experience preferred but not necessary
• Proficiency with clinical and office software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
