The Office of Campus Organizations & Volunteer Programs is a unit under Student Life & Leadership, supported by the Office of the Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs.The Office of Campus Organizations provides opportunities for students to pursue personal and professional goals through involvement with Registered Campus Organizations (RCOs). We promote leadership development by providing resources, innovative programming, and advising for Campus Organizations and the campus community. We aspire to provide transformative leadership experiences that foster a community of engagement and campus spirit. Volunteer Programs provide opportunities for community engagement and leadership development. Students explore social issues through mutually beneficial campus and community partnerships by engaging in direct service, reflection, and critical dialogue. Responsibilities:
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced community educational and volunteer educational management program professional to resolve a wide range of educational program issues and needs assessments. Develops new community educational programs, and works on complex community educational programs or volunteer educational management programs of diverse scope. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for delivering courses, presentations and development programs. Receives general instructions and exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for course and instructional improvement. Fully knowledgeable in course subject matter and program.

The UCI College Corps grant is part of the #CaliforniansForAll newly announced California Volunteers / Office of the Governor initiative. In coordination with the Division of Student Affairs and Student Life & Leadership, the College Corps Program Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and administering the College Corps program at UCI. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, directing placement sites, and daily management of approximately 100 program fellows each academic year. Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Campus Organizations & Volunteer Programs, the Program Manager is responsible for building relationships with campus and community partner sites which may include non-profit and governmental agencies, community groups and local businesses to implement various aspects and activities of the College Corps program. The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations and submitting required reports and documentation. Provides strategic leadership of the program, initiating opportunities for improvement and integration into UCI’s undergraduate experience and community engagement. This position is grant-funded.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $72,400 - $85,452 (Annual).

Required:

Thorough knowledge of functional area and understanding of how work may impact other areas.

Thorough analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.

Thorough and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills.

Thorough knowledge of organization policies and procedures.

Thorough knowledge of and skill in delivering programs.

Thorough skills to conduct needs assessment and development of new presentations / courses to meet organizational needs.

Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments; i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.

Associate degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

Continuing education in related field required.

2-3 years of working in a related field

Preferred:

Thorough knowledge of current community educational programs and trends.

Knowledge of managing a portfolio of business and management courses at the university level.
