We are seeking a meticulous and experienced
Bookkeeper
to join our dynamic team at Ross Downing. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the dealership.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain and update financial records. Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the dealership's accounting system.
Bank Reconciliations:
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. Monitor bank balances and ensure adequate cash flow for daily operations.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Audit Preparation:
Assist in the preparation and coordination of audits. Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and reconcile vehicle and parts inventory accounts. Ensure accurate recording of inventory purchases and sales.
Customer and Vendor Relations:
Handle inquiries from customers and vendors regarding billing and payments. Maintain positive relationships with external financial partners, including banks and auditors.
Qualifications: Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. CPA preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the automotive industry or a dealership setting. Proficiency in accounting software and dealership management systems.
Skills:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information. Ability to work in an office environment within the dealership.
