Overview:
WGI is seeking a Mobility EIT/Planner with 1-3 years entry-level experience to work with our Mobility team in either Austin, San Antonio, Houston or Dallas, Texas offices. The Mobility Engineer/Planner will provide field assessments, project planning, and implementation of strategies, services, and programs to improve the parking and transportation needs of our customers. They will also be responsible for helping design parking programs and translate complete findings into written text. In addition, they will also be responsible for traffic analyses, modeling, warrant studies and traffic signal design. The specific responsibilities of the Mobility Engineer/Planner may change from time to time, requiring cooperation and adaptability as the needs of WGI’s customers evolve.

Responsibilities:
Assist in the assessment, analysis, and projection of strategies, services, and program solutions to address specific parking and transportation issues
Analyze data and field evaluations, including utilization and turnover studies. Quantify surplus and deficient conditions and identify parking management recommendations
Aid in the preparation of transportation impact studies, transportation demand management plans, traffic safety studies, traffic signal design plans and traffic control plans
Evaluate best practices based on comparable projects. Analyze data and support the development of policies relating to parking and transportation
Actively participate in project management, customer relations, business development, and company networking
Coordinate multiple company projects at a time, including preparation of project-related deliverables, organization of data collection efforts, and management of customer communications and expectations
Successfully identify client requirements and develop project solutions
Meet with internal and external stakeholders to determine issues, concerns, and potential solutions to project objectives. Assist with public involvement strategy
Assist and lead client meetings and presentations
Preparation of presentations and public outreach materials
Site visits and field data collection
Coordinate with various disciplines both internal and external to WGI
Report issues and concerns of projects to supervisor and provide viable recommendations to resolve
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in planning, engineering, or related field
1-3 years expereince
Excellent technical writing skills
Autocad & Microstation experience
Esri ArcMaps experience
Esri ArcGIS Online web application, web maps, and other online solutions experience
Esri ArcGIS Desktop experience (Preferred)
Synchro & SimTraffic: 2 years (Preferred)
Customer Service: 3 years (Preferred)
Microsoft Office: 3 years Analysis Skills: 2 years
