Job Details
Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet those goals. Responsible for supervising the day-to-day unit activities. Normally directs a section or group of budget / financial / resources analysts. Oversees and participates in the most complex projects and deals directly with major department managers. Provides direction according to established policies and management guidance.
Under QBI, this position will perform all managerial finance and administration tasks to support the infrastructure, a portfolio of over $40 million in annual federal funding and $6 million in non-sponsored funding, train and develop the QBI team, and support executive management in their stead. This position will support the QBI Chief Operating Officer and their various projects, and make financial decisions in the absence of the Chief Operating Officer. This position will play a strong role in the development of collaborations, MOUs and relationship building for the institute on the administrative side and as a liaison to the client's legal entities. The position will all have direct oversite and approval authority for QBI’s purchasing (BearBuy & P-Card), expense reimbursement (MyExpense), journals and cost-transfers (PeopleSoft) and personnel funding changes.
