Twain works closely with financial institutions, corporations, and high-net-worth individuals to structure and manage investments that offer both attractive economic return and social benefits.GENERAL INFORMATIONThe Client Services Accountant at Twain Financial Partners (“Twain”) is responsible for the management of 50-60 New Markets Tax Credit Investment Funds. This full-time position is located in St. Louis, Missouri and requires little or no travel.PREFERRED EXPERIENCEExcellent mathematical and analytical skillsAccounting and general ledger maintenanceExpert ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret dataAbility to multi-task and be driven by a fast-paced environmentMust be able to meet deadlinesMust be able to work independently but also in a team environmentRESPONSIBILITIESMaintain accurate bookkeeping for each legal entityCommunicate with all partners within a deal structure in order to understand deal-specific nuances and to effectively problem solveAct as point of contact for investors, CDEs and leverage lenders within the dealMonitor cash flows through the NMTC deal structurePrepare wire transfers/ACH for distributions, loan advances and payments, obtaining appropriate approvalsReview closing documents and reporting requirements, identifying any inconsistencies between loan documents and projections — work with attorneys/accountants to correct errorsCreate and maintain leverage loan schedules and initiate paymentsPrepare quarterly and annual financial statementsFacilitate audits and tax return preparation by third-party accounting firmsProvide instruction/guidance to CDEs within the managed dealsCalculate annual priority returns and/or excess cash distributions to the InvestorCollect annual fund management fees and expense reimbursements #J-18808-Ljbffr
