Kirby McInerney seeks a Litigation Associate with 2-3 years of experience to join the Firm’s Chicago office.ResponsibilitiesIn-depth factual and legal research to assess the merits of potential and newly filed class actions;Prosecution of litigation from inception through trial by drafting pleadings, responding to dispositive motions, and managing affirmative and responsive discovery.RequirementsStrong law school academic credentials (e.g., strong GPA/ranking, law journal, other compelling factors) or judicial clerkship experience;2-3 years litigation experience (securities, commodities, and/or antitrust preferred);Excellent research and writing skills;Genuine interest in a career at a law firm focusing on financial matters;Ability to balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment;Strong work ethic, organizational, team building, and communication skills;Proactive, resourceful and driven by professional growth;Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel;Admitted to the Illinois bar and in good standing.CompensationThe expected annual base salary for this role ranges from $100,000 - $125,000.
