Walk-In GYN demands excellence and expects each Ultrasound Technician to deliver compassionate care for our patients at every interaction.Ultrasound Technician ResponsibilitiesAbsolute and unwavering commitment to teamwork and the values of Walk-In GYNWelcome patients by greeting them in person or on the telephoneVerify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, confirming purpose of visitPerforming the ultrasound and ensuring the transducer is capturing images correctlyExplaining the ultrasound procedure to patients in order to avoid confusionMaintaining ultrasound equipment and sterilizing the room in which the procedure takes placeEvaluating the images for their quality and interpreting what the image capturedCompleting and uploading reports in a timely manner as per practice protocolPresenting images and preliminary findings to the ProvidersMaintaining patient records and adding medical notes related to the ultrasound procedureMaintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations including, but not limited to those from OSHA, HIPPA, New York Department of Health, and CDCGenerate revenue by recording billing information of services rendered, completing insurance forms, and responding to insurance and other third-party inquiriesMaintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping patient care information confidentialLocation: Floating between our Astoria, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Middle Village locationsWorking Hours: Our Ultrasound Technician hours are 10 am to 6 pm, with a clock-in by 9:30 am. Weekend practice hours are 10 am to 3 pm, with a clock-in by 9:30 am. The practice hours are for patient care only, and employees are expected to complete all tasks before leaving. Depending on overall volume and staffing levels, the clock-out time can be between 6-9 pm on weekdays and between 3-5 pm on weekends. However, total hours per week are carefully managed to never exceed 40 hours.Minimum Education and Experience:Ultrasound Tech DiplomaARDMS CertificationGynecology (2-years)Personal Qualifications:Excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all timesMust be detail-oriented and highly organizedA firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policiesKnowledge of patient care and examination proceduresMust be able to maintain confidentiality at all times #J-18808-Ljbffr
