Job Description Job Posting: Surgical Technologist (Dermatology Laser) Join Our Team! Are you a skilled Surgical Technologist with a passion for dermatology and laser procedures? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team and make a difference in patient care! Position: Surgical Technologist (Dermatology Laser) Location: San Diego Naval Medical Center, CA Schedule: Mon – Fri, 0630 – 1800, no weekends and no Federal holidays. Minimum Qualifications: Degree: Certificate. Education: Graduate from a Surgical Technology program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, or completion of a formal training program provided by the U.S. Armed Forces for surgical technicians, surgical technologists, or operating room technicians. Certification: Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA, or as a Tech-in-Surgery (TS-C) by NCCT, or possess a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) certification as a surgical technician and/or operating room technician. Experience: One year of experience within the last two years as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician. Core Duties: Perform the full spectrum of sterile techniques, including setting up surgical trays, preparing and draping patients for surgery, and assisting with post-operative dressings. Ensure surgical packs are cleaned and packed for sterilization after every procedure, including restocking surgical supplies. Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients by actively participating in the cleaning of clinical spaces, operating rooms, and medical equipment, or by guiding other personnel in environmental maintenance. Additional Qualifications: Must meet BLS requirements per section 1.6.12.8. Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience within the preceding 3 years as a Surgical Technologist. Within this timeframe, a minimum of 3 months of experience within the preceding 12 months assisting the surgeon in cutaneous laser procedures and post-operative laser surgery wound care. #J-18808-Ljbffr
