The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting systems impacted people who are in the process of re-entering the workforce, experience in workforce development training programs, and a deep commitment to social justice.In this role, you will work with the BlocPower team to successfully launch and manage a workforce development program in the Boston metro area, focused on training and preparing people for careers in the green economy and building electrification industry. With support from the BlocPower team, you’ll be responsible for program design, collaborating closely with a network of organizations to support the program participants, developing measurement and verification plans, preparing impact assessment reports, and other program management related tasks. A successful program will have a visible impact on the local economy and the employment opportunities for the program participants.This position is for a goal-oriented, self-motivated, and outgoing "people" and "operations" person who is willing to roll up their sleeves to build something new alongside a motivated and passionate team. The ideal person will create and maintain positive working relationships with program participants and be a self-starter committed to the mission, values, and beliefs of BlocPower.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a workforce development program launch and execution plan with key project milestones, including regular reporting on operational expenses, participant tracking, and impact measurement.Create and coordinate communication and deliverables between program partners and internal stakeholders to ensure project partners are accountable and delivering on their commitments to provide an excellent program for program participants, including coordination of case management.Maintain accountability for reaching program participant recruitment targets and employment placement targets, as well as other metrics as defined by the measurement and verification plan.Build and maintain relationships with program partners, including local community organizations, employers, and other potential clients and collaborators.Coordinate appropriate support services for workforce participants to ensure their success in the program by working with partners to identify needs and appropriate resources.Facilitate access to social services available to participants in our workforce development program.Assess individual needs and refer participants to the appropriate resources for assistance; prepare reports and correspondence; respond to inquiries and requests; and maintain and update files and records.Help grow the program and regional impact year over year, including public speaking to promote the program and supporting grant funding applications, as well as other activities as needed.Meet one-on-one with program participants to support their participation and be on-site during classroom training components as necessary to ensure programmatic success.Other tasks as required for a successful program deployment.QualificationsExperience participating in, designing, and/or implementing workforce development programs.Lived and/or professional experience working with individuals in the process of workforce re-entry.Deep commitment to environmental and social justice; experience with related organizations is a plus.Massachusetts residency required; Boston-area preferred.Basic technology skills (Gmail, the internet, Zoom).Familiarity with the construction industry and HVAC/air source heat pump installation preferred, but not required.Familiarity with the Boston communities preferred, but not required.BlocPower provides generous paid time off policies and the opportunity to subscribe to subsidized health, dental, and vision plans.How to ApplyTo apply, please fill out this form: https://jobs.lever.co/BlocPower/b3b30fa6-1025-40e4-9300-140a0325d2a0/applyBlocPower™ provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
